Attorney Rob Wilder won a wrongful death case filed against Calumet City. The case, Gary v. Calumet City, involved a woman who died after experiencing an asthma attack. The plaintiff alleged Calumet City paramedics improperly placed an endotracheal tube causing air to go into her esophagus and stomach instead of her lungs and that the lack of oxygen to her lungs resulted in her death. Rob filed a motion for summary judgment arguing that the paramedics were not liable under the EMS Act, and the Court granted the motion.
