As a partner at Odelson, Sterk, Murphey, Frazier & McGrath, Ltd., Mark Sterk’s entire 38 year legal career has been devoted to providing counsel to municipalities and other public bodies. His practice includes collective bargaining, land acquisition, public finance, zoning, and litigation. He also represents a labor union and provides counsel in all labor matters.
Mark graduated from Brother Rice High School, Western Illinois University, and Northern Illinois University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mark is a former director of the Historic Pullman Foundation and has served as the Foundation’s pro bono attorney since 1985. He is active in fundraising efforts for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. His other interests include spending time with his grandchildren and following University of Illinois athletics.
