Successfully defending and representing school district s and educational institutions for more than 35 years

Our firm has been representing school districts for over 35 years in collective bargaining, grievances, unfair labor practice allegations, financing and bonds, policies and procedures, personnel matters (including discipline and discharge of certified and non-certified staff), special education, student disability, student discipline, construction contracts, risk management and liability, property tax appeals, and referenda. We have represented and currently represent high school districts, elementary school districts, colleges and charter schools, assisting our clients with day-to-day needs such as policy and board governance, as well as financial and other challenges facing schools.

Our attorneys are often asked to represent school districts and school officials in litigated cases in both state and federal courts. The issues we have successfully litigated on behalf of school districts have included collective bargaining, financing and bonds, grievances, property tax appeals, removal and remediation of employees, unfair labor practices, policies and procedures, student discipline, construction contracts, and special education matters.

In addition to successful and proactive representation, several of our attorneys have served on school boards themselves, providing additional, first-hand experience and familiarity with the needs of educators and the school system.
